NSEI V: Famed ’30s vegetable wrangler and marrow hunter Lionel could not be convinced of the untrainability of members of the Brassicaceae Family, and steadfastly held on to the belief that sprouts were the most intelligent and agile or all Cruciferae. The truth was, sadly, that however gifted the sprouts appeared, audiences simply refused to pay good money to see them perform when there was a perfectly entertaining rhubarb-based busker in the high street.
