“I am the Giant Green Iguana”

Some more felafel designs for those who are interested.  The play is still running at the Brisbane Arts Theatre for a few more weeks – so I recommend all in Brisbane attend!  I’ll have some photos of the printed merchendise sometime soon as well – It all came out rather well if I do say so myself

For those who have seen the merch, then you will have seen the ‘Green Iguana’ T-shirt.  Although the Green Iguana T-shirt looks great as-is, You probably havn’t seen the original iguana design which unfortunately was too many colours to be printed.  I thought I would show you how the image started.

In other news I have a new project I’m currently working on – I’ll let you all know how it goes soon.

He Died with a Felafel in his Hand

Felafel Program So it’s been a bit quiet here lately, mainly because I’ve been quite busy as of late putting together some sketches and drawings for a Brisbane production of ‘He died with a Felafel in his hand’.  I was asked to do a series of sketches for the program, to possibly go up around the foyer, and to bet put on some merchendise.  The play is based on the book by ‘John Birmingham‘, and is directed by the lovely ‘Natalie Bochenski’.

Opening night was on friday night, and it was absolutely wonderful.  They had a great audience, and everyone seemed to really enjoy it (I know I most certainly did, and will be heading back this week to check it out again ).

I highly recommend anyone in brisbane to head along to the lovely little theatre on Petrie Terrace, and check out the play.  It runs a total of 18 shows from now until the 2nd of May ( Usually Thurs, Fri, and Saturday nights ).  If you do go, not only will you see a wonderfully hilarious show – But you’ll also see such fabulous* artwork such as this :

And of course, there are more artworks there, and more to come! I’ll post some more here in the coming weeks.

The Icepick

I’ve drawn another picture.  This one took a long time to put together, but I’m pretty happy with the final outcome.  What do you think it all means ?

Weekly ?

Okay!

So Progress is moving quite slowely on week one – Working fulltime, then coming home and doing a few hours programming is going to take a little bit of getting used to.  I also think this cut I’ve got on my finger might be getting a tad infected / sore from all the typing I’ve been doing – which is not good.  Will have to keep a close eye on that one.

So, I’m contemplating making my games fortnightly ( at least until I get into the rhythm of things ).  As I stated earlier, I really am not a great programmer, so some of these concepts take a while to sink in.

I’ve examined a few of the elements of the first game which I’d like to get sorted, and once again I’m up against my old enemy , collision detection.  I’ve got a friend who I’m going to shoot an email off to tonight, see if they can’t help me out a little here.  But I thought I’d share some concept sketches, just so you can see I’m actually doing *something*.

I’m also working on a website with the help of my friend Jason to house all the games once they’re complete.  Should be good.
